I have not been to Puerto Rico for a long time. Recently (for reasons unknown), I have been making photos of pigeons and people as they coexist in New York City. I knew about Pigeon Park in Old San Juan, and David Alan Harvey agreed that I can focus my work there. In addition, it was suggested by Bill Marr that I might include the surrounding area. My pictures were all candid as I pretty much confine myself to candid street photography.
Among the things I have learned in the workshop, is how important it is to edit out all but my most successful pictures. They are rare and should not be diluted by including others. I knew this but it was reinforced. The rest of what I learned needs to be digested before being articulated.
